User Guide on Cessation
CDC has released a new Best Practices User Guide focused on tobacco cessation. The guide focuses on population-based interventions as a strategy to increase access to proven cessation treatments and help more people quit for good.

FDA Deadline for Premarket Review Extended Until September
The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) have given tobacco manufacturers an additional four months to submit their e-cigarette and vaping products for premarket approval. As part of a federal court-mandated order, tobacco manufacturers would have been required to file premarket applications to the FDA by May 12, 2020; now they will have until September 9, 2020. HUD Releases Materials to Promote National Healthy Homes Month
The U.S Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) has created a digital toolkit with materials and resources to support promotion of National Healthy Homes Month (NHHM) in June. NHHM is a great opportunity to highlight the importance of a smoke-free home. Read more here.

The Nebraska Tobacco Quitline offers free, confidential support for those interested in quitting tobacco while allowing callers to maintain safe social distancing.
